How thick should a driveway sub-base be?
We use a minimum 150mm compacted G5 sub-base for residential driveways — thicker for clay soils or heavy vehicles.
Paving or concrete — which is better?
Both are excellent. Paving allows for movement in Cape Town’s expansive clay. Concrete gives a sleek, modern finish.
How long does a driveway installation take?
A standard double driveway takes 3–5 working days from excavation to completion.
